Many years ago I started my business career in sales. When I asked a senior salesman a question, his response (with a snarl in his voice) was, "how long have you been in this business, and why don't you know the answer to that"? Well truth be known, I didn't know the answer because this was the first time I had thought of the question.
It was sad for me that I asked this particular fellow, and I felt bad for him, not being a decent person and offering a helping hand to a young salesman just starting out.
Years later, with many questions answered by people who helped me get from there to here, I said I would give as much help as I could, and answer as many questions as I had the answers to, if people would just ask.
Helping others and watching them prosper and grow, gives me great satisfaction, which is why I don't consider what I do work, I consider it fun.
Each day brings a mixture of new challanges and opportunities, and it's the reason I jump out of bed in the morning to see what my crystal ball (computer), has brought to my desktop.
I started my career in sales, wound up creating a company with just a box under my arm that was profitable for almost twenty years, and have transitioned into a sourcing and consulting company that helps people attain their own dreams. What a country, and how lucky we all are to be here.
