African standards, ready to file.
Entities have just 30 business days after their year end to submit (60 for Close Corporations), leaving little room for tagging errors or last-minute rework. CIPC's Data Quality Management framework also scrutinises submissions for completeness, correctness, consistency, and accuracy, so mistakes are more likely to be flagged. ARKK removes that pressure, handling tagging as a managed service so your AFS is ready to file correctly within your deadline.

+ What is iXBRL?
iXBRL (Inline eXtensible Business Reporting Language) is a digital tagging standard required by South Africa's CIPC, embedding machine-readable tags into financial statements so the data can be processed automatically as well as read by humans. Tagging doesn't change what a business reports, only how the financial statements are marked up before submission. Qualifying entities, including public companies, state-owned companies, and businesses with a Public Interest Score above 350, must submit their Annual Financial Statements in iXBRL format rather than PDF.
+ How does ARKK handle iXBRL tagging for CIPC?
ARKK's specialist team manages the tagging of your Annual Financial Statements as a fully managed service, applying the correct taxonomy to each account before testing and validating the output against CIPC's data quality requirements. You review the tagged files before they're submitted, with turnaround available in as little as one day when deadlines are tight. ne day when deadlines are tight.
+ How is data secured during the iXBRL tagging process?
Files are uploaded and managed through ARKK's ISO 27001-certified cloud-based portal, the internationally recognised standard for information security management. This gives you a single, secure destination for uploading, tracking, and accessing your tagged files throughout the process.
+ What are the risks of managing CIPC reporting manually or without specialist support?
Incorrect or incomplete tagging can result in a rejected submission, creating delays when entities have just 30 business days after year end to file (60 for Close Corporations). Keeping up with CIPC's annual taxonomy updates and data quality framework also requires specialist knowledge, which is why handing tagging to a dedicated team, rather than managing it in-house, reduces the risk of errors going uncaught before submission.
